  • Be Mindful To Change | Mindset Controls Your Success

All of us have a few little things about ourselves that we wish to change, whether it is a couple extra pounds
we wish to get rid of, some bad habits or even some emotional baggage that we’ve been hauling around inducing
a case of sore shoulders. We all have stresses. We all have worries. We all have fears.

The first step to overcome these things is to be mindful to change. Mindful that change will happen in your life
and to be open to it, and be mindful of yourself, your mind, your body, so that you are able to find control of your
actions and in actions in a world no one person can control.

I’ve found myself to be a person who can feel stress at any given moment, finding that the trigger is not usually the cause.
This was my first step in understanding how I can control how stressed out I get, and how often.
I recognized that it wasn’t the fact that the dishes were put on the counter rather than in the dishwasher,
but it was the things in my life hat I felt weighing me down with no sense of control over that I reacted to. I was stressed
out about things that seemed too big for me to sort out.

I looked at our climate crisis and the people who are making the decisions for the people,
yet only keeping “oh so glorious” dollar in their thoughts while making their bias and influenced decisions.
I unwrapped my new toothbrush knowing that for me to have this, oil was being taken out of a
country that was promised schools and hospitals and had received none. That oil was then used to make the
plastic wrapping to keep it sanitary before it reached my teeth, while the company making the plastic wrap is spewing
out filth into the atmosphere and into the closed system we cannot yet leave. I contemplate that while I lay here in my
condo, the sirens blaring out, and the screeching tires of adrenaline junky drivers going around corners at 60 Km/hr in the
dead of night, I must try to rest my eyes for but a moment before I turn in to work in the morning to a job I’m not
    entirely passionate about.

I’ve come to the realization that the world I’m born into wasn’t the world I asked for, but it is mine to change.
This world is impacted by every one of us here. Each and every person with their own stresses and their own
perspective on life, change with the world without even thinking or trying, for better or for worse.
Within the most insignificant action we will change the course of history
    .

Had the speaker for the Nazi party not had a cold and sore throat that one night, he wouldn’t have asked for
help from Adolf Hitler’s friend to do his speech for him. Had his friend been a good public speaker,
he wouldn’t have refused this offer, but by doing so giving young Mr. Hitler an opportunity to speak on the party’s behalf,
inflaming him with the passion of the party’s ideals.
    Do you get my point?

Understand that YOU are in control of your own actions. You control who you speak to, positive or negative influence.
You control how you react, no matter how visceral the reaction may seem, you always have the choice.
You control what you do or do not do, what you say and what you do not. You control all of yourself.
Your environment affects you, so choose how to react. Choose to pick up some ones littler.
Choose to take three deep breathes before responding to a personal attack.
Choose to remove yourself from the situation when it’s too much for you to handle on the spot.

Choose to be mindful in your life. Being mindful means simply to not allow your mind to run,
but to run your mind. Run your body.

Do what you know is right for you, and seek help when you know you need it.
We all need a little help sometimes and there are so many of us here from which to ask for help.
